Terms & Conditions

COVID-19 Level 3 Policy

We are open for business from level three onwards. We are a home based business and will only be taking orders through our website, Facebook page, phone & email. No face to face transactions will take place, deliveries and pick ups will be contactless. Payment options include credit cards, Paypal or bank transfer. No cash accepted.  Email or text confirmation will be sent to arrange safe pick up or delivery of your order. Social distancing will apply at all times. Taupo Cupcakes is registered with the local Taupo council and reopens with their knowledge and guidance.  We have made additions to our current Food Safety Plan to ensure we are doing everything possible to keep ourselves and customers safe.

The following Terms & Conditions apply to the use of Taupo Cupcakes website and/or it's products. In these Terms & Conditions, "us", "we", "our" or "Taupo Cupcakes" means Taupo Cupcakes. 

Delivery/Pick Up 

All deliveries are undertaken by Taupo Cupcakes during business hours and attract the following fees

Taupo CBD 3km radius $5

Richmond Heights, Wharewaka & Acacia Bay 6 km radius $7

Taupo rural including Wairakei  12km radius $10

Taupo surrounding areas - Kinloch (Mimimum order of $42 applies) 20km radius $20


Large orders may be delivered to other areas for an additional fee.

Taupo Cupcakes make deliveries between the hours of 9.30am-2.30pm 6 days a week.When specifying deliver you agree to have someone available to receive the product. We will do our best to deliver at the specified  time however we cannot guarantee a delivery time.  Due to the nature of the product no orders will be left unless it is safe to do so and we have advised the customer placing the order. Once the product is delivered Taupo Cupcakes takes no responsibility for the condition of the product and will not provide a refund for any damage or missing product. If there is no one available to receive the order and it cannot be left a re delivery fee will apply or the product must be collected at an agreed time. 

Pick Ups

You are welcome to pick up orders from the Taupo Cupcakes premises during business hours (9am-3pm). Pick up outside of these times are by prior arrangement only. Taupo Cupcakes will be available for you to collect your order only at the agreed pick up time. If you cannot collect your order at the agreed time please notify us as soon as possible to make another arrangement. You may send someone on your behalf to collect the order. If you do not collect your order at the agreed time or fail to notify us to change pick up time at least 24 hours in advance no refund will be given for  products that have been waiting as all products are baked fresh and ready for the specified pick up time. Once the products leave our hands we relinquish all responsibility over them. 


All pricing is in New Zealand dollars. Our prices may change without notice.

Artistic disclaimer 

All Taupo Cupcakes products are hand made on site and are subject to the artistic expression of Taupo Cupcakes. Colours, decorations & design may differ and replicas from a photo will not be the exact same.

Allergy Disclaimer

We make some cupcakes without allergens as a direct ingredient however, all Taupo Cupcakes are made in an environment that handles allergens including gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts etc. If you have a severe or life threatening allergy we do not recommend you consume our products.

Cancellations & Refunds

Customers are entitled to a repair, replacement or in some cases, a refund only when a product is not of acceptable quality. All products leave Taupo Cupcakes premises in perfect condition and we are not responsible for damage that may occur after pick up or delivery. Refunds requested due to colour or design will not be honoured. Refunds requested due to quality of flavour is at our discretion and the product must be returned within 24 hours for inspection, at the customers expense. No refund will be given for products that have been consumed. 


Cancellations of less than 7 days notice will not be entitled to a refund including deposits, This includes cancellation for change of mind.


Orders can be made via our website, Facebook page, email or by calling us. All orders made through our website require full payment at the time of ordering. All other orders require a 20% deposit at the time of ordering and must be paid in full on pick up or delivery.
